Stationery, Translation & Printing Demo Software

1. Purpose of the Software

This software is designed to manage orders for:

• Stationery sales
• Translation services
• Printing services

It allows customers, admin, translators, and printers to interact in one platform. It also tracks orders, manages inventory, and logs all activities.

2. Roles and Functionalities

A. Customer

• Login: Select Customer as role and enter your name.
• Create Order:
  1. Enter order details (file name or description).
  2. Select service type: Translation, Printing, or Stationery.
  3. Click Create Order.
• View Orders: See your orders in a table with Service Type, Details, and Status (New, In Progress, Completed).
• Track Activity: Orders appear in the Activity Log with timestamps.

B. Admin

• Login: Select Admin as role and enter your name.
• View All Orders: Orders from all customers are displayed in a table (Customer, Service, Details, Status, Assign).
• Assign Jobs:
  • Translation orders → assign a Translator.
  • Printing orders → assign a Printer.
• Manage Inventory:
  1. Add or update inventory items (name + quantity).
  2. View inventory table to track stock levels.
• Activity Log: Admin actions (assigning jobs, adding inventory) are logged. Use “Show All Orders Status” button to view order summary and details.

C. Translator

• Login: Select Translator as role and enter your name.
• View Assigned Jobs: Only orders assigned to Translator appear.
• Update Status: Change order status to In Progress or Completed. Status changes automatically update Activity Log and Order Summary.

D. Printer

• Login: Select Printer as role and enter your name.
• View Assigned Jobs: Only orders assigned to Printer appear.
• Update Status: Change order status to In Progress or Completed. Status updates reflected in Activity Log and Order Summary.

3. Activity Log

• Displays all system activities with timestamps, including: login events, order creation, job assignments, status updates, and inventory updates.
• Order Summary Numbers at the top show:
  • Total Orders
  • In Progress Orders
  • Completed Orders

4. Workflow Example

1. Customer John logs in → creates a Translation order.
2. Admin logs in → sees John's order → assigns it to a Translator.
3. Translator logs in → starts the order → changes status to In Progress, then Completed.
4. Admin/Customer logs in → sees updated order status in tables and activity log.
5. Inventory can be updated by Admin if stationery items are required for orders.

6. Notes

• This demo is frontend-only. Data is stored in the browser (localStorage).
• For production, backend integration with database and payment system is required.
• Designed for easy extension: add new services, roles, notifications, or analytics.
